Taking down a fleet of enemy submarines is no small measure, but it seems like that sometimes for captain Greg Chalmers of the S. S. Connecticut. Yesterday the U.S. was involved in a brutal attack off the coast of Boston harbor. All local ships were asked to help defend the harbor. In his S. S. Connecticut, captain Chalmers led the other American boats to safety while ensuring the safety of the harbor. That is why, today, he has received the gold medal of bravery.
